CUBA Thomas- BlackDeathArt®️ This was my true intro to MISOTHEIST, as I had bought this on ITunes, which offers this classic work in a compressed form and sounding so weak. So, I finally purchased this on BC, as well as their eponymous lp and their latest and most accomplished work to date, IMHO, Vessel’s By Which The Devil Is made Flesh, just a few minutes ago. Now, it’s time to subject myself to a 105.08 minute aural assault of all 3 releases in one sitting.THERE WILL BE BLOOD 🩸 HAILZ to all 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

mourner Gritty, raw and with a deep pitch black atmosphere. Dissonant and extremely well written. Top shelf black metal with impressive vocals by Kråbøl for the little bit of extra horror. I liked it from the first listen on but nevertheless it's constantly growing on me. Favorite track: Acts of the Flesh.

David Fischer I also have to thank Ippocalyptica for buying this, I would likely have missed out on it otherwise. Misotheist is monstrous. For the Glory of Your Redeemer, and Acts of the Flesh in particular, is a lesson in dissonant melancholy and much more. Not only is it indeed muscular (also thanks to an excellent production job); it feels like walking through an ever-changing labyrinth with countless and unexpected, yet logical and unenforced spurs and twists. A glorious redemption from reality. Favorite track: Acts of the Flesh.

about

"The second album from Trondheims MISOTHEIST is finally upon us after almost 2 years of various delays, and what a masterpiece it is! The craftsmanship behind these tracks are simply out of this world, and rarely does a band surprise you with twists and turns like Misotheist does. To deliver something as unique as this anno 2020, is a feat in its own right. Rest assured we are still talking Black Metal in its true shape and form, but some releases are just on their own level and this is one for those. For me personally this is among the best albums I have heard in many years!
The anticipation among fans has been extremely high after their stunning debut released back in 2018, and it's safe to say the band delivers and then some.
If Terratur Possessions ever had a 'sound', I would say 'this is it'."
